Construction Underway on Two Marriott Hotels in Bastrop
Crews have officially broken ground on a new Courtyard by Marriott in Bastrop, Texas. Located at 1651 Highway 71 East, the 63,603-square-foot hotel project is expected to be completed by Christmas of next year and carries a price tag of approximately $10 million.
The upcoming Courtyard by Marriott will feature a full-service restaurant and bar, along with a retail pad site adjacent to the hotel, further enhancing the area’s commercial offerings.
In addition to the Courtyard project, a second hotel development is also underway just down Highway 71. A dual-branded hotel combining Fairfield by Marriott and TownePlace Suites by Marriott is currently in the planning stages. This 99,798-square-foot property will boast a range of upscale amenities, including an outdoor pool and a full-service bar, and is set to open in early 2027.
Bastrop is experiencing significant growth, driven in part by the continued expansion of several of Elon Musk’s companies, including X, SpaceX, and The Boring Company, all of which maintain campuses in the area.
These hotel developments reflect the growing demand for hospitality infrastructure in line with Bastrop’s rapid economic and population growth.
