Wood Partners has started construction on Alta Timberline, a new luxury multifamily community in Tomball, Texas. The project, planned for 204 apartments, is scheduled for delivery in May 2027 and adds to the company’s existing presence across the state and nationally.

The Alta Timberline name reflects the site’s natural setting, referencing tall pine trees, wooded corridors and the semi-rural, green character that differentiates Tomball from nearby Houston submarkets. The developer is positioning the community to appeal to residents seeking multifamily housing in a setting that maintains a more natural and less urbanized environment.

The development will be composed of seven three-story residential buildings. Planned layouts include a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, along with one-bedroom units that incorporate a dedicated study. Ground-floor residences are designed with private yards, while upper-level apartments will feature personal balconies, providing outdoor space options for residents across the community.

Alta Timberline is planned with a full slate of shared amenities. The community will include a clubhouse and a resort-style swimming pool as a central recreational element. Adjacent to the pool area, a shaded outdoor kitchen space is expected to offer gas grill stations, television, fans and seating arrangements suitable for both lounging and dining, supporting resident gatherings and informal events.

Recreational amenities will extend to two pickleball courts, giving residents access to on-site sports facilities. Pet-oriented features include a dog park and a pet spa, reflecting demand for multifamily communities that accommodate residents with animals. Indoor common areas are slated to include a business lounge and a social lounge, providing zones for work-focused use as well as casual interaction.

The fitness component of the property will be anchored by an on-site fitness center, designed to offer residents a convenient alternative to off-site gym memberships. A coffee bar is also planned as part of the amenity package, contributing to the project’s focus on resident services and daily-use common spaces.

Alta Timberline adds to Wood Partners’ existing Texas footprint. According to the company, it currently has more than two dozen multifamily communities across the state. On a national basis, Wood Partners reports ownership of more than 80 properties totaling approximately 25,000 units across the United States, indicating an established platform in the multifamily sector into which Alta Timberline will be integrated upon completion.
