**Urban Edge Acquires Grocery-Anchored Brighton Mills Shopping Center in Allston for $39M**
CBRE has completed the sale of Brighton Mills, a 91,000-square-foot grocery-anchored shopping center located at 370 Western Avenue in Allston, Massachusetts. The property was acquired by Urban Edge Properties for $39 million, according to the company’s third-quarter financial report.
The CBRE National Retail Partners team—comprised of Nat Heald, Jordana Roet, Connor Scott, and Scott Dragos—led the marketing campaign for the center and represented the seller in the transaction. The team also facilitated the sale by procuring the buyer.
“We are honored to have played a role in the sale of this high-profile shopping center in Boston,” said Heald. “Urban Edge Properties executed an extremely smooth and quick acquisition process, and we congratulate them on adding another first-class shopping center to their core Boston portfolio.”
Brighton Mills is anchored by Star Market and is located less than a mile from Harvard Business School. It is one of the few remaining open-air, traditional-format shopping centers in the city, making it a unique asset in the local retail landscape.
