**CCI Real Estate Secures $67M Construction Loan for Mixed-Use Redevelopment at UGA**
CCI Real Estate has closed a $67 million construction loan for the redevelopment of the Baptist Collegiate Ministries building at the University of Georgia (UGA) in Athens. The project, known as 290 Lumpkin, is being developed in partnership with the Georgia Baptist Mission Board and will feature a mix of multifamily housing, retail, and community-focused spaces in a key location on the UGA campus.
Affinius Capital is providing construction financing for the ambitious development.
The eight-story project will include 243 one- and two-bedroom apartments totaling 353 beds, a 356-space parking structure, a rooftop amenity deck, student lounge, offices, and ministry facilities designed to host over 500 attendees for meetings and conferences. Ground-level features will include a coffeehouse, a fitness center, and additional retail space.
Construction is already underway, with completion anticipated in June 2027. New South Construction has been selected as the general contractor.
