**U-Haul Acquires Self-Storage Facility in New Hampshire Resort Town**
Marcus & Millichap has announced the successful sale of Winnipesaukee Self Storage, a 512-unit Class A self-storage facility located in Gilford, New Hampshire. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Nathan Coe, Senior Managing Director of Investments at Marcus & Millichap, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the deal, stating, “I am very excited to execute this sale for the sellers at a tremendous price and price per square foot. This facility is in a very high-barrier-to-entry lake community and is truly Class A. The interest and results achieved are a testament to the continued strong demand for high-quality self-storage assets.”
The property was marketed on behalf of a local developer from North Shore Boston by Marcus & Millichap investment specialists Nathan Coe, Gabriel Coe, and Brett Hatcher, along with Thomas Shihadeh, the firm’s New Hampshire broker of record. U-Haul was the buyer in the transaction.
Located at 1477 Lake Shore Road, the facility is strategically positioned near Lake Winnipesaukee, Beach Club Village, and Paugus Bay. Phase I of the development was completed in 2024 and includes 39,917 net rentable square feet of climate-controlled units. Permits are secured for a Phase II expansion, which will more than double the facility’s square footage.
