**Three Developers Compete for Riviera Beach Waterfront Redevelopment**
Riviera Beach officials are weighing proposals from three well-established developers, each with a history of completing projects in the local area. The developers are vying for rights to build a new mixed-use development on a highly sought-after 90-acre waterfront parcel located at 190 E. 13th Street.
The Riviera Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) issued a request for proposals last August, aiming to establish a public-private partnership to transform the site. The redevelopment is intended to attract new office tenants and upscale retail options, as well as improve parking in the city’s downtown core. The CRA plans to offer a ground lease for the property.
The three developers that responded to the request are Forest Development, Sonnenblick Development, and Related Urban Development Group.
Each proposal includes a variety of components such as condominiums, hotel rooms, office space, retail outlets, and restaurants. These elements are designed to complement the recently completed Phase I of the waterfront revitalization, which added a new event center and expanded the marina along the Intracoastal Waterway. The marina upgrade now features watersports facilities and 140 boat slips.
Officials will evaluate the proposals in the coming weeks and select a developer to move forward with the next phase of this transformative waterfront project.
