**The Missner Group Completes Renovation of Makowski’s Real Sausage Facility in Lansing**
The Missner Group has successfully completed the renovation of Makowski’s Real Sausage production facility in Lansing, Illinois, marking a major milestone for the century-old, family-run business.
The project, designed to modernize and expand Makowski’s operations, features extensive upgrades across the 32,000-square-foot facility. The improvements include updated infrastructure, refrigeration systems, and mechanical components. Production areas have been reconfigured to streamline workflow, boost efficiency, and accommodate state-of-the-art food processing equipment.
In addition to the production floor renovations, The Missner Group also undertook a build-out of office spaces in an adjacent warehouse. The formerly unused structure has been transformed into a fully functional space for storage and administration, further enhancing the company’s operational capabilities.
The renovation reflects a strategic effort to uphold the traditional values and heritage of Makowski’s Real Sausage while propelling the company into a more modern, USDA-inspected environment prepared for increased production demands.
Neely K. Sadowski, President of Construction at The Missner Group, and Nicole Makowski, Owner of Makowski’s Real Sausage, marked the completion of the project with a visit to the newly renovated facility. The company plans to transition into the updated space beginning in December.
