The Texas A&M University System has commenced construction on the new STEM Education Center at RELLIS campus in Bryan, with a budget of $43.3 million. This state-of-the-art facility spans 50,000 square feet and will feature specialized areas for machine work, woodshop activities, digital projects, 3D printing and augmented reality endeavors. The first floor is dedicated to fostering collaboration between students and industry partners through large-scale projects.
According to reports from the Bryan-College Station Eagle , all universities within the A&M System as well as eight state agencies will have access to suite spaces on the second and third floors of this building. Additionally, until its own designated building is completed in 2027,the Semiconductor Institute at A&M will be housed here.
Funding for this project comes from Capital Construction Assistance Projects – a $3.3 billion fund allocated towards higher education initiatives across Texas.The anticipated completion date for this center is fall semester of 2025.
