Taylor Morrison, a leading homebuilder, is fully committed to the built-to-rent (BTR) trend. The company has recently acquired land for two BTR developments in Lake County. One of these projects is a 213-unit cottage community with one-bedroom units located near Mount Dora on State Road 44 in Eustis. With the land already entitled, Taylor Morrison plans to begin construction soon. According to reports from the Orlando Business Journal, permits are being processed for another BTR community with 309 units in Mount Dora and it is expected that the land will be secured by early 2024. This particular project will fall under Taylor Morrison’s Yardly brand.

The anticipated timeline for leasing at Yardly Eustis is before the end of 2024 while leasing at Yardly Mount Dora may start as early as 2025.

In Florida alone, Taylor Morrison has over five build-to-rent communities currently under development within its Yardly portfolio across Orlando and Tampa areas and also has plans to explore potential sites for future projects both within Florida and other markets nationwide where it owns more than twenty-five existing properties.
