**Sutter Health Announces $2.8 Billion Medical Center in Santa Clara**

Sutter Health has unveiled plans for a major healthcare development in Santa Clara, marking its largest investment to date. The healthcare provider will construct a new, state-of-the-art medical center on a 13.63-acre site near Levi’s Stadium, totaling an estimated $2.8 billion in costs.

“We are honored to work alongside our longtime partners at Palo Alto Foundation Medical Group, whose physicians have delivered exceptional care in the Silicon Valley for decades,” said Warner Thomas, President and CEO of Sutter Health. “As part of our vision to create a dual-campus medical destination in Santa Clara, this investment expands access, advances clinical excellence, and strengthens the coordinated experience for patients and families across the region.”

The planned eight-story facility will be located at 2831 and 2841 Mission College Boulevard, replacing an existing office park. Once completed, the approximately 850,000-square-foot medical center will include 272 licensed beds, all in private rooms. Additional features will include a full-service emergency department, intensive care units, labor and delivery suites, advanced operating rooms, and a rooftop helipad for emergency transport.

This flagship campus is intended to enhance healthcare access in Silicon Valley and further establish Sutter Health’s presence as a leading provider of comprehensive and innovative medical care in the region.
