**Stockyards Hotel and H3 Ranch to Undergo $30 Million Renovation**

Stockyards Heritage Development Co., a partnership between Majestic Realty Co. and Hickman Cos., has announced plans to move forward with a $30 million renovation project for the Historic Stockyards Hotel and the H3 Ranch restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas.

Both the hotel and the restaurant will close in April 2024 to begin construction, with plans to reopen either later this year or in early 2027. The renovation will include significant upgrades to the kitchen and back-of-house infrastructure, along with an updated and refreshed dining room experience.

Majestic Realty Co. and Hickman Cos. acquired the building in 2022, which includes the Stockyards Hotel, H3 Ranch, and Booger Red’s Saloon.

The Stockyards Hotel is a 118-year-old landmark featuring 42 rooms and 10 suites. It holds a storied place in Texas history, having served as a hideout for notorious outlaws Bonnie and Clyde in 1933. Over the years, it has also hosted country music legends such as Willie Nelson, George Strait, and Garth Brooks, who stayed in the hotel’s well-known celebrity suite.

The historic building was renovated and reopened as the Stockyards Hotel in 1984 by businessmen Marshall Young and Tom Yater following their purchase in 1982.

This new round of renovations promises to maintain the rich legacy of the property while enhancing its amenities for a new generation of visitors.
