Seattle-based Starbucks Coffee Company has announced a growth plan, known as Triple Shot Reinvention with Two Pumps, which aims to expand its store count to 55,000 worldwide by 2030. This strategic move is one of the pillars of the company’s plan to achieve long-term and sustainable growth while delivering exceptional returns for partners, customers and shareholders.

According to Sara Trilling, EVP and president of Starbucks North America, this expansion will allow the company to better cater to evolving customer needs by innovating their store formats. These new formats include pick-up stores, drive-thru only stores,double-sided drive-thrus,and delivery-only locations that offer unique experiences for customers.

Trilling further stated that this demand can be captured through building more new stores in both existing cities as well as expanding into new ones. She also clarified that despite its widespread presence in the U.S., Starbucks still sees potential for growth in this market.

This recent announcement from Starbucks showcases their commitment towards achieving long-term success through strategic expansion plans rather than simply saturating markets with numerous locations.
