Simon is set to launch a long-planned, multimillion dollar redevelopment at Brea Mall, according to What Now Orange County. The multi-year project will involve demolishing the former Sears store and constructing a new mixed-use development with retail and dining options, a resort-style fitness concept, luxury residential buildings totaling 380 units and an outdoor plaza.
Nate Weirbach, director of marketing & business development for Brea Mall commented: “The continued investment in our retail growth will elevate the overall shopping experience at Brea Mall. In May 2020 ,the City Council gave final approval for Simon’s project which joins other similar redevelopments of shopping malls across California as well as nationwide .
