Simmons University in Boston has completed the second phase of its strategic plan, known as One Simmons. The latest phase involved the unveiling of an 80,000-square-foot science center and a renovated library. The science center boasts advanced lab spaces including a Nursing and Health Science Simulation Center while the library offers new study and collaborative learning spaces.
Dr. Lynn Perry Wooten, president of Simmons University commented on this momentous occasion: “It is the culmination of a decade’s worth of planning that reflects our university’s strategic direction and advances our leadership in nursing, health sciences, and library sciences.” Redgate provided owner’s representation services throughout this project with Lee Kennedy Company acting as construction partner for phases one & two. Phase three – which includes building a Living & Learning Center – will begin this summer with completion expected by 2026.
The recent unveiling at Simmons University marks an exciting milestone for their long term strategy – One Simmons – providing students access to cutting edge resources across multiple disciplines!
