A new development is coming to Richardson, Texas with the construction of The Points of Waterview. According to Dallas Morning News, this project will include up to 4,000 apartment units, 40,000 square feet of retail space and 500,000 square feet for office use as well as two hotels. University of Texas at Dallas and local developer Wolverine Interests are teaming up on the 36-acre parcel near DART’s Silver Line station.
The initial design features seven buildings surrounding a large open area facing the DART station. Wolverine owns 15 acres while UT Dallas has ownership over part of the tract too. Recently receiving unanimous approval from Richardson’s planning and zoning commission in July 2020; city council is expected to review it in September 2020 for final consideration before breaking ground on this ambitious project that includes housing options along with retail stores and hotels all within walking distance from public transportation access points .
