**RK Centers Acquires Fort Lauderdale Retail Center for $36 Million**
RK Centers has expanded its footprint in South Florida with the acquisition of Riverbend Marketplace in Fort Lauderdale for $36 million. The 92,007-square-foot retail center, located at 2510-2670 W. Broward Boulevard, was purchased from Northbridge Investment Management. The property was previously sold in 2019 for $27.45 million.
Developed in 2017 on a 10.2-acre site just west of Interstate 95, the Riverbend Marketplace sits adjacent to a Walmart Supercenter, which was not included in the transaction.
Key tenants at the shopping center include Marshalls, Planet Fitness, Five Below, Wells Fargo, and Chipotle.
This acquisition marks RK Centers’ continued investment in Broward County retail real estate and is the company’s second property in Fort Lauderdale. The company also owns the 1600 Commons plaza, which features Trader Joe’s and Nordstrom Rack.
RK Centers is a privately held real estate development company that owns and operates over 11 million square feet of open-air regional and community shopping centers across New England and South Florida.
