RIPCO Real Estate has been engaged to lead leasing efforts for the community facility space at 329 Clarkson, the community-focused component of Clarkson Estates in the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn. The assignment covers the newly constructed portion of the mixed-use development that is tied to New York State’s Vital Brooklyn Initiative, a program aimed at strengthening neighborhood-serving infrastructure. RIPCO’s team, led by vice presidents Michelle Abramov and Greg Batista along with associate Daniel Yeu, will be responsible for marketing and securing tenants for the designated community facility premises.
Clarkson Estates has been developed by CAMBA Housing Ventures, with Genuine Property Services serving as property manager for the property. The project is described as a $238-million public-private investment and is designed to provide long-term, sustainable housing and services for populations with acute housing needs. The residential portion delivers 328 permanently affordable and supportive homes, targeted to youth aging out of foster care, low-income and formerly unhoused youth and families, and individuals who were formerly incarcerated.
The overall development totals 334,745 square feet, combining housing with significant programmatic and community-serving areas. Within that footprint, Clarkson Estates includes more than 30,000 square feet of community-focused space, carved out to host organizations and services that support residents and the surrounding neighborhood. Of this total, 15,861 square feet is specifically designated as community facility space at 329 Clarkson, which is the portion RIPCO has been retained to lease.
The community facility space is being marketed to prospective tenants whose missions align with Clarkson Estates’ emphasis on care, service, and support for the local community. The leasing strategy centers on attracting operators and service providers that can complement the development’s affordable and supportive housing, reinforcing the broader goals of the Vital Brooklyn Initiative. By pairing mission-driven tenancy with a new mixed-use asset, the owners and their partners are positioning the property as both a housing resource and a neighborhood hub.
As property manager, Genuine Property Services will oversee day-to-day operations at Clarkson Estates, working alongside CAMBA Housing Ventures and incoming community-oriented tenants. The combination of dedicated affordable housing, substantial community space, and a focused leasing mandate for 329 Clarkson underscores the development’s role as a platform for social services and neighborhood engagement within Flatbush. RIPCO’s involvement introduces a specialized leasing function aimed at curating a tenant mix that supports these objectives.
