Petree Properties is still a few public hearings away from its mission to build 1,500 apartment units and more than 20,000 square feet of retail on a 15-acre site in midtown Phoenix. Recently, the neighborhood planning committee gave the project their blessing which allows it to move ahead for review by the Phoenix Planning Commission and then City Council on September 6.

The Phoenix Business Journal reports initial plans for this four-phase project include four buildings with one being a 22-story high rise that will contain 1,500 new apartment units as well as 20,000 square feet of commercial space. This property is located at Central and Glenrosa avenues across from Steele Indian School Park with two proposed apartment/retail buildings (including the aforementioned high rise) facing Central Avenue while two residential buildings are planned for west end of this property.
