Infrastructure consulting firm AECOM has recently signed a full-floor lease at One Prudential Plaza in Chicago, consolidating its offices and bringing together 432 employees into one space. This move solidifies the company’s commitment to the region and will provide opportunities for growth and expansion.
According to Matt Crane, regional chief executive of AECOM’s U.S. West business, this investment is a testament to their team’s success in delivering vital infrastructure projects in the city. The new office space will serve as a platform for continued momentum and allow them to attract top talent as they contribute to Chicago’s evolving landscape.
In addition, AECOM plans on expanding its community involvement by hosting a lecture series for STEAM students interested in learning more about working within the infrastructure industry. The company has been involved with several high-profile projects in the region such as O’Hare 21 initiative -the largest expansion project at O’Hare airport.
The owner of Prudential Plaza, Wanxiang America Real Estate Group negotiated an extension of their mortgage along with committing $50 million towards property upgrades earlier this year.
This recent development highlights AECOM’s decision to relocate its operations from various locations across Chicago into one centralized location at Prudential Plaza – signaling confidence not only within their own organization but also within Chicago’s East Loop market overall.
