Greenview Development has been given the go-ahead to build phase III of Manor Commons, a $71 million retail development in Manor. The project could bring hundreds of thousands of square feet of stores, restaurants and hotel space to the area.
Situated on a 47-acre greenfield site at the northeast corner of Farm to Market Road 973 and U.S. Route 290, preliminary site work is estimated to take 18-24 months before vertical construction begins. At full buildout, this new phase is expected to increase Manor’s tax base by around $105 million through property taxes, hotel taxes and sales taxes while creating 670 jobs for local residents as well as up to $9 million in sales and property tax rebates over 15 years once occupancy certificates are issued . Additionally , across US 290 lies another development called Manor Crossing which will feature 600 rental units along with 425 ,000 square feet for commercial use .
This major investment into the town’s economy marks an exciting time for both current residents as well as those looking forward towards relocating or visiting this vibrant community .
