**Penzance Breaks Ground on Amazon-Anchored Chantilly Data Center**

Penzance has officially broken ground on a next-generation data center in Chantilly, Virginia. As part of this groundbreaking development, the company has finalized a lease agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS), which will operate and staff the new facility.

Designed with hyperscale demand and energy efficiency in mind, the state-of-the-art data center represents Penzance’s latest investment in digital infrastructure. The project will result in the development of a 240,000-square-foot facility with 45-megawatt capacity, located at 4151 Autopark Circle. Construction is slated for completion in the first half of 2027.

The Chantilly project is expected to deliver a significant economic boost to the region. Over 1,000 construction jobs are expected to be generated during the buildout phase, along with millions in projected tax revenue for Fairfax County. Upon completion, the facility will employ up to 50 full-time operations staff, contributing to the estimated 74,000 jobs supported by Virginia’s data center industry.

Penzance has assembled a leading project team to bring the facility to life: Penney Design Group will serve as architect, Kimley-Horn as civil engineer, and Whiting-Turner as general contractor.
