The NRP Group has reached financial closing and started construction on a new 353-unit multifamily community within Medina Station, a 60-acre master planned development in Mesa, Arizona. The project marks a significant residential component for the broader community and is planned as a four-story, elevator-served property built on a 10-acre site in the northeast portion of the master plan.
According to the announcement, project financing for the development includes equity from Origin Investments and debt capital provided by U.S. Bank. The capital structure supports ground-up construction of the multifamily community, which is designed to deliver a range of unit types and resident-focused amenities within the master planned environment.
The site is located at 10941 E Southern Ave., placing it within walking distance of established commercial uses at Medina Station and in the surrounding area. Nearby retailers include Target, Sprouts Farmers Market, and EōS Fitness, offering residents convenient access to daily needs, grocery, and fitness options adjacent to the planned multifamily property.
The development will feature a mix of studios as well as one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, providing a range of layouts intended to serve different household types. While specific unit sizes and interior finishes were not disclosed, the overall program emphasizes a variety of housing options within a single community.
Planned amenities include a resident clubhouse lounge with coffee stations and a business center incorporating coworking spaces, reflecting ongoing demand for flexible work-from-home alternatives in multifamily settings. The community will also offer a fully equipped fitness center, supporting on-site wellness and recreation for residents.
Outdoor amenities are slated to include a pool area with a spa jacuzzi, private cabanas, and multiple grill stations. These features are designed to extend the community’s usable space beyond the building interior and create additional gathering, relaxation, and entertainment areas for residents.
Construction of the 353-unit property is scheduled to begin later this month. Delivery of the multifamily community is expected in 2028, adding new rental housing supply to the Medina Station master plan and the broader Mesa multifamily market once the project is completed.
