NewMark Merrill Companies has recently acquired a 172,008-square-foot retail center in Thousand Oaks, California. The property, now known as the Collection at Janss Marketplace, was purchased from Seritage Retail Group for an undisclosed amount. This strategic acquisition is adjacent to the company’s existing management and leasing project – the 458,000-square-foot Janss Marketplace shopping center.

The newly acquired property shares parking and access points with its neighboring shopping centers and is conveniently located across from The Oaks Mall – a popular super-regional enclosed mall. According to Sandy Sigal, President and CEO of NewMark Merrill Companies,”It’s not often that we come across such an exceptional opportunity where our project adjoins two regional shopping centers while also being surrounded by a significant day and nighttime population.”

Sigal led this acquisition alongside Jim Patton, Brad Pearl,Sandra Kist, and Susan Rorison of NewMark Merrill Companies. The deal was facilitated by CBRE’s Phil Voorheesand Jimmy Slusher on behalf of Seritage Retail Group.Financing for this transaction was secured through Prime Finance with assistance from Bryan Gortikovof Gortikov Financial.

This recent development marks yet another successful venture for NewMark Merrill Companies in their pursuit towards expanding their portfolio within the thriving retail market sector.
