Cushman & Wakefield announced on Thursday that Water Street has acquired a partial interest in 545 Long Wharf Dr., located within the Long Wharf Maritime Center in New Haven, CT. The sale was arranged by Senior Director Evan O’Brien of Cushman & Wakefield, who will also serve as the leasing agent for the property.
The transition of ownership to Water Street was finalized after negotiations between Todd Taylor, Managing Partner at Water Street, and Tony Minopoli, CIO for the Knights of Columbus. According to O’Brien, unlike many commercial real estate investors during the pandemic, Water Street recognized and capitalized on New Haven’s positive momentum in its office market.
Water Street’s objective is to establish 545 Long Wharf Dr. as a premier business address in New Haven. The building currently houses tenants such as Ameriprise Financial Services Inc., Barclay Damon LLP , Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM)/Connecticut Interlocal Risk Management Agency (CIRMA), Knights of Columbus , Morgan Stanley Wealth Management LLC , and Tek Systems . This acquisition further solidifies their presence and commitment to this thriving city.
