QTS Data Centers, a Kansas-based company with operations in multiple states, has announced plans for a new data center near the AllianceTexas development. The $220 million project will span 471,000 square feet and is set to begin construction in March of 2026.
Located just east of Interstate 35W, this second data center will be adjacent to QTS’s existing facility. It joins other major players such as Facebook who have also established large data centers in the same area.
The Dallas-Fort Worth region is a thriving market for data centers and continues to see high demand for new space. According to Cushman and Wakefield, there was an estimated 1.4 million square feet of under-construction space at the end of 2023 in North Texas alone.
This latest development further solidifies DFW’s position as one of the top destinations for companies looking to expand their digital infrastructure capabilities.
