Moody National Development is moving forward with the transformation of a former grain processing plant into a high-end apartment and mixed-use community called Silo Springs. According to the Houston Business Journal, the project will deliver a five-story, 346-unit apartment building on Houston’s west side.

Arch-Con Corp. has been engaged as the general contractor for Silo Springs. The development is planned on a long timeline, with an anticipated buildout of approximately 10 years. Upon completion of the initial phase, the project will incorporate a 2,200-square-foot café as part of its mixed-use program.

Residential amenities at Silo Springs are expected to be extensive. Interior common areas will feature a two-story clubroom and fitness room, along with a game lounge and a business lounge designed with multiple private conference rooms and on-site leasing offices. These spaces are intended to provide residents with areas for work, recreation, and socializing.

Outdoor programming will include a pool with a waterfall element, a fire table feature, private cabanas, hammocks, and an assortment of tables and benches to support resident gatherings. A dedicated pet park is also planned as part of the exterior amenity mix.

Future phases of Silo Springs are slated to add approximately 80,000 square feet that will encompass additional retail and multifamily components, along with a potential office and boutique hotel element. Taken together, the phased program will convert the legacy grain processing site into a multi-faceted residential and commercial destination over the coming decade.
