The tennis community in Memphis is eagerly anticipating the arrival of top-tier tournaments to their city. Tennis Memphis, a collaboration between the City of Memphis, University of Memphis, and generous private donors, has joined forces to create one of the most impressive facilities in the nation.

Managed by this nonprofit organization, located at 4145 Southern Ave., and recently renovated with a $30 million investment from its partners. The Leftwich Tennis Center boasts an expansive 200,000 square feet space featuring 12 state-of-the-art indoor courts and 24 outdoor courts. This facility will be unmatched when it opens its doors as the largest center built in America during 2023.

In addition to being open for public use, Leftwich will also serve as home court for both men’s and women’s teams from University of Memphis. Furthermore, the center aims to attract high-profile national events as well as international competitions that can establish long-term partnerships with Leftwich.
