**Mapletree Acquires Site to Develop Logistics Facility in Joliet, Illinois**

Mapletree Investments has acquired a 29.36-acre site located at 1035 W. Laraway Road in Joliet, Illinois, with plans to develop a state-of-the-art logistics facility totaling 418,880 square feet.

The new facility will be constructed to meet LEED standards and will feature modern industrial amenities, including 40-foot clear heights, 80 dock doors, 100 trailer stalls, and 172 car parking spaces. Matthew Stauber and Steve Ostrowski of Colliers International represented the seller and worked directly with Mapletree to complete the transaction.

This marks Mapletree’s second acquisition in Chicago’s Joliet submarket this year. In May, the Singapore-based real estate developer purchased an 18.1-acre site at 3600 Houbolt Road, where it intends to build a 276,000-square-foot warehouse. Both sites are strategically located near the I-80 and I-55 interchange, offering direct access to the Joliet Intermodal Center—a key logistics and transportation hub.

“Mapletree is optimistic about Chicago’s growth prospects,” said Richard Prokup, Chief Executive Officer, U.S., Mapletree. “That’s why we’re doubling down on industrial development in submarkets where we see long-term value—particularly in areas such as Joliet and Bartlett.”

This development underscores Mapletree’s continued commitment to expanding its logistics portfolio in key strategic U.S. markets.
