**JS Link America to Build $223 Million Rare Earth Magnet Manufacturing Facility in Georgia**
JS Link America Inc. has announced plans to invest approximately $223 million in the construction of a new rare earth permanent magnet manufacturing facility in Columbus, Georgia. This major development is expected to create over 520 new jobs in Muscogee County.
Established in 2000, JS Link is a Korean-based biotechnology company recognized for its expertise in producing permanent magnets. These magnets play a vital role across numerous high-tech and industrial sectors, including automotive manufacturing, wind energy, elevators, household appliances, medical equipment, robotics, urban air mobility (UAM), data centers, consumer electronics, and defense technology.
The new facility will be located within the Muscogee Technology Park and is anticipated to span 130,000 square feet. Once fully operational, the plant is expected to deliver an annual production capacity of 3,000 tons. Company representatives stated that operations at the site are scheduled to begin in late 2027.
This major investment signals a significant step forward for both JS Link America and the state’s growing presence in advanced manufacturing and clean energy technology industries.
