Kraft Heinz recently announced a major investment of more than $400 million to construct one of the largest automated CPG distribution centers in North America. Developed by Trammell Crow Company (TCC), this 775,000-square-foot facility will be located in DeKalb, Illinois and feature cutting edge automation technology as well as national railway access. Scheduled to open in 2025, this property is expected to drive supply chain efficiencies for Kraft Heinz while also creating over 150 jobs for the region.

In addition to TCC Chicago’s SVP Josh Udelhofen expressing his pleasure at partnering with Kraft Heinz on such an innovative project alongside Krusinski Construction Company (KCC) and Daifuku Integrated Logistics Automation Provider; The City of DeKalb and the DeKalb County Economic Development Corporation have also been involved with development efforts at the facility.
