JPMorgan Chase’s new headquarters at 270 Park Avenue, designed by Foster + Partners, has reached a major milestone with the completion of its steel framework. Standing at nearly 1,400 feet tall and spanning 60 stories, this net-zero all-electric skyscraper is a testament to cutting-edge design and sustainability.

The building will be powered entirely by renewable energy from an upstate hydroelectric plant and boasts advanced eco-friendly features such as triple-plane glazing and predictive energy technologies. In addition to its impressive green credentials, the tower also prioritizes employee well-being with increased communal spaces and wellness amenities.

At ground level, the design includes outdoor areas for relaxation or collaboration as well as wider sidewalks for pedestrian comfort. The plaza also features green space that adds to the neighborhood’s appeal while offering convenient facilities for local residents.

Governor Kathy Hochul praised this project during Monday’s topping-out event: “This development marks a significant milestone in New York City’s economic recovery. With American-made steel used in construction along with union labor from New York State workers, JPMorgan Chase’s new headquarters on Park Avenue will not only boost our economy but also provide jobs for tens of thousands.” The project is set to be completed in 2025.
