Wells Fargo recently held a grand opening for its newest bank branch in River North. This marks the first of many planned expansions for the company in the Chicago area.

The financial institution has announced plans to increase its presence from seven branches to approximately 30 over the next few years, with additional locations set for Bronzeville and Bridgeport neighborhoods. This expansion is part of Wells Fargo’s commitment of $175 million to support growth in this region, which is expected to create nearly 200 job opportunities.

Located at 33 W. Chicago Avenue, the new River North branch spans over 2,600 square feet and was built according to LEED standards. The space features energy-efficient LED lighting, low-flow water fixtures, and sustainable building materials made from recycled content and cradle-to-cradle materials.
