**Hunt Development Group and Lincoln Property Co. Selected for Major San Antonio Redevelopment Project**
Hunt Development Group and Lincoln Property Company have been chosen as the master developers for a transformative 400-acre redevelopment project surrounding the Frost Bank Center and the Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio. According to the San Antonio Business Journal, the duo was the only respondent to a request for proposals issued last summer by Bexar County’s Coliseum Advisory Board.
The approved master plan outlines a 15-year vision for the area, featuring 3.6 million square feet of mixed-use development. Project components include new housing, entertainment venues, retail spaces, hospitality options, and ample green space.
To support the redevelopment, Bexar County plans to allocate $311 million from hotel and rental car tax revenues. Additionally, Hunt and Lincoln are proposing the creation of a new Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) and a municipal management district for the site—both of which will require formal approval before proceeding.
Overland Partners has been tapped as the lead design firm for the project. Other key collaborators include Joeris General Contractors, Metro Development Group, and EBF Development & Design Studio.
