**Transwestern Begins Next Phase of The RO Mixed-Use Development in Houston**
Transwestern has officially launched the next phase of construction at The RO (pronounced “row”), a transformative mixed-use development spanning 17 acres at the intersection of West Alabama and Buffalo Speedway in Houston.
The RO integrates a dynamic mix of offerings, featuring The Birdsall, Auberge Collection — Houston’s first Auberge-branded hotel and residences — alongside 80,000 square feet of boutique retail and dining, a luxury multifamily residential tower known as The Clayton, and high-end office space.
The initial phase of The RO includes a 145,000-square-foot Class AA office building nearing completion and expected to begin tenant occupancy in June 2026. Additional components, including The Birdsall, Retail Village, and The Clayton, are scheduled to deliver in late 2027.
The Birdsall, Auberge Collection, will consist of 44 private, upscale residences situated above a 15-room luxury boutique hotel, offering an exclusive hospitality and residential experience in the heart of the city.
Retail Village, designed by Michael Hsu Office of Architecture, will house a curated selection of dining and shopping options, while The Clayton — a 317-unit luxury residential tower at the corner of West Alabama and Buffalo Speedway — is being designed by the renowned architectural firm Packard Chilton.
Notably, the Class AA office building in the development’s first phase has been fully leased, underscoring strong demand in the area.
Project financing is being provided by Madison Realty Capital, Citizens, Texas Capital, and Amegy Bank.
