Hoar Construction has completed a 144,000-square-foot U.S. Veterans Affairs mental health clinic just north of Tampa, FL. The project team was selected by the General Services Administration (GSA) and included Cullinan Properties and Leo A Daly with Hoar Construction at its helm; breaking ground in late 2021 for a total cost of $100 million. Patients will be seen as early as January 2024 in the two-story facility that sits on almost 20 acres – consolidating services from three local hospitals into one building designed with direct input from patients and clinicians to meet their unique needs.

The clinic features 60 patient rooms, 265 consult rooms across 100,000 square feet over two stories, an activities courtyard complete with basketball court plus walkways and planters; full service kitchen/dining room combo plus social activities room equipped with residential kitchen for veterans to practice life skills – all adding up to an impressive $91M investment into veteran care facilities near Tampa Bay area!
