Global Partners LP, a Fortune 500 energy supplier, has announced plans to relocate its headquarters from Waltham, MA to a newly renovated office complex near the Riverside MBTA station in Newton. According to the Boston Business Journal, the company will move into their new location at 275 Grove St. by late 2026 and will house over 600 employees. The lease for just over 100,000 square feet is set for a duration of twelve years.
Currently located at Intercontinental Real Estate Corp.’s Watermill Center in Waltham with approximately 72,000 square feet of space occupied by Global Partners LP., this move marks an expansion for the company which owns a network of liquid fuel terminals and gas stations and is ranked as Massachusetts’ fifth-largest publicly traded business according to recent research conducted by Business Journal.
The property in Newton was purchased two years ago for $117.5 million by Greatland Realty Partners based out of Boston along with MassMutual subsidiary Barings who have since invested more than $16 million on renovations across three buildings totaling an area of about half-a-million square feet according to reports from Business Journal .
