Harbor Freight has expanded its presence in Anne Arundel County by opening a new store at Robinson Crossing in Severna Park. The tool retailer selected the neighborhood shopping center as the location for its second store in the county, adding to an existing facility in Glen Burnie. The move extends Harbor Freight’s established national footprint, which now includes more than 1,600 locations nationwide and 22 stores across Maryland.

At Robinson Crossing, Harbor Freight has leased 21,202 square feet, taking a sizable block of space within the nearly 115,000-square-foot shopping center. The lease was executed with Continental Realty Corporation, which serves as the landlord at the property. Harbor Freight has already commenced operations at the center, bringing another national retailer into the project’s tenant mix.

The transaction was handled on behalf of the landlord by Cherene Keenan, Senior Leasing Manager and Anchor Leasing Specialist at Continental Realty Corporation. Her role in representing the landlord underscores the continued involvement of dedicated leasing professionals in securing anchor and near-anchor tenants for suburban centers.

Robinson Crossing’s merchandising strategy is built around a combination of national and locally owned retailers, restaurants, and service providers. Existing tenants at the center include ALDI, Celebree School, Dollar Tree, and Mattress Firm, illustrating a mix that spans grocery, education, discount retail, and bedding. Harbor Freight is positioned within this group as a destination retailer focused on tools and related products.

According to Kristina O’Keefe, Senior Vice President of Retail Operations at Continental Realty Corporation, the addition of Harbor Freight is expected to meet a defined need within the local community while enhancing the overall tenant lineup at Robinson Crossing. O’Keefe highlighted that the retailer is anticipated to function as a consistent traffic driver for the center, complementing other tenants and reinforcing the shopping center’s role as a local retail hub.

The opening at Robinson Crossing reflects Harbor Freight’s ongoing strategy of expanding within established retail corridors and aligning with shopping centers that already feature a diverse mix of service and value-oriented tenants. For the Anne Arundel County market, the new store adds another national retail option for residents of Severna Park and surrounding communities.
