**Rocky Mountain Communities Leads $126M Affordable Housing Development in Denver’s Globeville Neighborhood**

Rocky Mountain Communities (RMC) is spearheading a $126 million affordable housing project in Denver’s Globeville neighborhood. The new development will include 170 affordable residential units and accompanying retail space, with construction set to begin soon near the National Western Center Complex.

RMC is joined by Evergreen Real Estate Group and the Elyria Swansea Coalition Inc. as development partners. A substantial portion of the project’s funding comes from revenue bonds issued by the Denver Housing Authority, which is also acting as the construction lender. The city of Denver originally purchased most of the site in 2019 for $6 million.

In 2022, the city issued a request for proposals emphasizing the need for family-sized housing. The entire project will be income-restricted to serve households earning between 30% and 80% of the area median income, ensuring long-term affordability for working families.

Construction for the development is expected to be completed by 2027. Milender White Construction and Gilmore Construction will serve as general contractors on the project.
