Freddie Mac has announced that Lance Drummond, a member of the board since 2015, will assume the role of chair for their board of directors. This change is in accordance with the company’s bylaws and follows Sara Mathew’s retirement as both Board chair and Director in February 2024.

According to Sandra Thompson, Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, Freddie Mac’s board comprises exceptional leaders who are dedicated to advancing their mission of providing liquidity, stability, affordability and equity to the housing market.

Drummond brings his expertise as he takes on this new position within Freddie Mac. He currently serves as chair for the compensation and human capital committee while also being a member on other important committees such as executive, audit,and operations technology. With strong leadership from individuals like Sara Mathew and Lance Drummond at its helm,Freddie Mac continues its vital work towards achieving these goals.
