FourSquare Healthcare Ltd. is moving forward with plans for a new senior care project in Anna, where the company intends to construct a 53,654-square-foot facility at 3220 S. Powell Parkway. The development, known as Powell Parkway Medical Lodge, is planned as a 130-bed community designed to expand the local supply of senior care options.
According to reporting from the Dallas Business Journal, the project carries an estimated development cost of about $26 million. The scale of the facility and its planned bed count indicate a sizable addition to the city’s inventory of senior-focused healthcare real estate.
Construction on the Powell Parkway Medical Lodge is expected to begin in June, with completion targeted for late 2028 or early 2029. Once built out and operational, the facility is projected to support roughly 100 new jobs, adding a meaningful employment node tied to healthcare services within the community.
The project arrives as Anna continues to experience rapid population gains. The city is cited as the fifth-fastest-growing city in the United States, and local officials and stakeholders see additional healthcare capacity as necessary to keep pace with the expanding resident base, including a rising share of older adults. The new senior care facility is intended to help address that demand.
Growth pressures are not limited to Anna alone. Nearby cities such as Melissa, Celina and Princeton are also described as being among the 15 fastest-growing cities in the country. That broader regional expansion is driving increased need for health and senior care infrastructure across multiple communities, positioning projects like the Powell Parkway Medical Lodge as part of a wider response to demographic and population trends in the area.
