**Wistron Offered Tax Incentives to Build Two Fort Worth Factories**

Wistron Corp., a Taiwan-based electronics manufacturer, is being offered substantial tax incentives by the City of Fort Worth as part of an effort to attract the company to establish two new factories in the region.

The Fort Worth City Council has approved a 10-year tax abatement, allowing Wistron up to a 70% reduction in taxes on real estate and personal property located at 15200 Heritage Parkway and 14601 Mobility. One key location in this plan is a 324,598-square-foot facility on Heritage Parkway, part of the 35 Eagle industrial campus developed by Trammell Crow Co.

According to reports, Wistron could invest approximately $80 million in real estate and an additional $411 million in equipment at this site.

Should Wistron choose Fort Worth for the project, construction might begin as early as this summer. The city is currently competing with El Paso, Nashville, and Fremont, California, for the new plant.

This proposed expansion comes on the heels of a recent partnership with Nvidia Corp. In April, Nvidia selected Wistron as one of the manufacturers for its new domestic supercomputers. Mass production at facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston areas is expected to begin by mid-2025.
