Vancouver-based Onni Group has secured its first tenant at the newly redeveloped office tower located at 225 W. Randolph Street in downtown Chicago. The 853,000-square-foot building was acquired by Onni for $166 million in 2021 and is designated as a city landmark due to its history as a hub of the former Bell Telephone Company.
Law firm Neal Gerber & Eisenberg has signed a lease for 90,000 square feet across three floors in the property and will relocate from their current space at 2 N. LaSalle Street when their lease expires in 2025.
CBRE’s Todd Lippman and Kyle Kamin negotiated the new lease on behalf of Neal Gerber & Eisenberg while Jack O’Brien and Matt Whipple of Telos Group represented Onni.
The renovation plans for this iconic tower have attracted top tenants like Neal Gerber & Eisenberg, showcasing confidence in the future of downtown Chicago’s office market.
