The Fab Foundation, in collaboration with BXP, has launched a flagship Fab Lab and global headquarters at 325 Main Street in Kendall Square, Cambridge. This strategic partnership aims to expand access to advanced manufacturing in underserved communities by establishing over 2,700 sites across 135 countries.

As an outreach project of MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms, the Fab Foundation has grown significantly and will now operate as a “living laboratory” at its new headquarters. The facility will serve as a hub for providing tools and coordinating global programs while also offering technical training and business incubation services. It boasts of various amenities such as a full-service Fab Lab, a retail store dedicated to fab-related products, an event space for hosting workshops or conferences,and the main administrative office -theFab HQ.

According to Bryan Koop,the executive vice president responsiblefor BXP’s Boston region,”BXP is committedto social impact initiativesin Cambridgeand Kendall Square community.” He further added that this project servesas apilot programthat showcases innovative ways developers can catertothe needs of their surrounding communities without compromising on quality standards.Based on these developments,it is clear that the establishmentofFabFoundation’sglobalheadquartersinCambridgewill bea significant milestonefor both organizations involved.
