London-based F1 Arcade is expanding its adult arcade-centered eatertainment concept to Northeast D.C. The company, as reported by the Washington Business Journal, has secured a lease for 17,500 square feet at 440 Penn St. NE in The MO building developed by Edens. This new location will feature Formula 1 racing simulators and accommodate up to 550 guests who can test their driving skills and compete against others.

The Union Market District venue is expected to open in the summer of 2024 with an investment of $14 million for its build-out. It will offer full-motion simulators, large viewing screens, food options and drinks for visitors’ enjoyment. This marks F1 Arcade’s first U.S location with another set to open in Boston Seaport this March.
