EAH Housing, a nonprofit housing development and management organization, has launched work on a two-phase affordable housing project in Richmond. Nevin Plaza is located at 2400 Nevin Ave., and will cater to seniors and people with disabilities upon completion.

Phase I of the project is set to be completed in late 2024, focusing on rehabilitating the existing seven-story building including 138 units with designs led by HKIT Architects. The U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development provided funding through their Section 8 Project-Based Voucher Program as well as $3.5 million from the City of Richmond for direct support towards this initiative .

The second phase will include construction of a new building featuring low income senior units along with pieces art integrated into its exterior for additional value to residents and surrounding community alike .
