Dominion Realty Partners, based in Raleigh, has recently submitted plans for the initial phase of their Salisbury Square project. This development is located directly across from the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts. The proposed plans include a 7-story residential building with an attached parking garage.
The mid-rise tower will consist of 545 units, each averaging at approximately 856 square feet. According to reports from Triad Business Journal, Dominion Realty initially intended to construct a mixed-use tower spanning 20 stories (pictured) which would have included office and retail space along with 304 apartments as part of phase one. However, due to uncertainties in both the office sector and financial markets at that time, they decided to revise their plans.
The amenities planned for this new building include three courtyards, a swimming pool area,
a club room and game room as well as fitness center on site. Additionally there will be a sky deck and lounge on the seventh floor offering residents stunning views.
In early-2022 Dominion Realty purchased land located at700 S.Salisbury St.for $35.5 million where they planedto develop Salisbury Square. The previous structure was demolished in late-2023in order make way for this exciting new project.
This recent announcement by Dominion marks changes made since original highrise proposals were announced earlier last year; however it still promises an impressive addition to Raleigh’s skyline once completed.
