Dallas Fort Worth International Airport has launched a $9 billion capital improvement initiative, which encompasses over 180 projects. These include the revamping of Terminal C and the addition of a sixth terminal, Terminal F. In total, 24 new gates will be constructed to accommodate future growth and enhance passenger experience as DFW Airport approaches its goal of serving 100 million travelers annually.

Last year alone, DFW welcomed more than 82 million passengers through its doors. This number is expected to reach nearly 90 million by the end of this year. To meet this growing demand for air travel, renovations at Terminal C will provide customers with brand-new facilities such as shops and restaurants, expanded lounge space, upgraded check-in areas and security checkpoints,and improved restrooms.

The reconstruction project at Terminal C is scheduled for completion in 2030 according to airport officials. The design-build contract for both Phase One expansion at Terminal C and an expansion project at nearbyTerminal A was awarded to a joint venture consisting of Austin Commercial,Azteca Enterprises Inc., Alpha & Omega Industries LLC., HOK,and Muller & Muller Ltd.. With these experienced team members on board,the renovation plans are set up for success in providing top-notch facilitiesfor travelers passing through Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
