**Astral Development and Steady Capital Announce Mixed-Use Project in Columbia, SC**
Astral Development and Steady Capital have announced plans for a new mixed-use multi-family development at the intersection of Bull Street and Elmwood Avenue in Columbia, South Carolina. The 483,106-square-foot project will be constructed on a 2.06-acre site comprised of eight adjacent parcels assembled by Astral Development.
The development will include 288 Class A apartment units, featuring a mix of unit types: 236 one-bedroom units, 33 two-bedroom units, and 19 three-bedroom units. The project also includes a structured parking garage offering 376 spaces.
Ground-level amenities for residents will include a fitness center, a lobby, a leasing office, and bike parking facilities. In addition to residential units, the project will offer 22,000 square feet of space dedicated to retail, restaurants, and fitness tenants.
Crosland Barnes Group is spearheading leasing efforts for the street-level commercial space, with support from Cushman & Wakefield.
Permits for the development are expected to be submitted later this year, with groundbreaking anticipated in spring 2026.
