**Castelion to Build $100M Rocket Manufacturing Facility in New Mexico**

Castelion, a weapons manufacturing startup focused on the rapid development of hypersonic missiles, will invest $100 million to establish a new rocket manufacturing facility in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

The project, known as “Project Ranger,” is expected to create over 1,000 full-time, permanent jobs and generate more than $650 million in economic output over the next ten years. The facility will manufacture solid rocket motors, conduct static testing, and assemble components into fully operational missile systems.

Castelion’s first weapon system, known as Blackbeard, progressed from an initial concept to more than 20 developmental test flights in less than 18 months, demonstrating the company’s commitment to accelerating defense capabilities.

The decision to locate in New Mexico was supported by collaboration among local and regional partners, including Sandoval County, the City of Rio Rancho, the Albuquerque Regional Economic Alliance (AREA), the Sandoval Economic Alliance (SEA), and various state officials.

Castelion’s expansion marks a significant development in New Mexico’s growing aerospace and defense sector.
