**Core Spaces Plans Student Housing Development on Former Cheetah Club Site**
Core Spaces, in partnership with Capstone Communities, has submitted a proposal to the city of Atlanta to redevelop the site currently occupied by the Cheetah Club into modern student housing for Georgia Tech students.
Named “Hub Spring Street,” the proposed development includes a 27-story residential tower offering over 1,000 student beds across 532 units. The range of housing options will include everything from studios to six-bedroom units. Additionally, the development will feature approximately 6,500 square feet of retail space on the ground level.
Key amenities planned for the project include a rooftop pool on the 27th floor and a hot tub on the 26th floor, offering luxury-style living for students in the heart of Midtown Atlanta.
According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the full build-out of the project is expected to take several years. A portion of the site—located at the intersection of Spring Street and 8th Street—will be preserved for a future phase of development, with details and timelines to be determined later.
Due to the property’s proximity to the Midtown MARTA station, the developers are not required to include parking facilities in the project design.
The proposed development underscores the ongoing transformation of Atlanta’s urban core and the city’s growing demand for student-focused residential infrastructure.
